A little history
The Logan neighborhood was laid out in the 1880s as one of downtown's first suburbs, with wide streets and landscaped boulevards. Gonzaga College opened here in 1887 and grew into the university that defines the district today.
Walk the tree-lined blocks and you'll see Queen Anne, Craftsman and Foursquare homes from the early 1900s, the twin spires of St. Aloysius Church, and Bing Crosby's boyhood home, now a free museum on campus. Down on Hamilton Street, Jack & Dan's has been pouring since the end of Prohibition.

Why “Billiken”? The Billiken is a cheerful good-luck figure patented in 1908 by Kansas City artist Florence Pretz, and it became a nationwide craze. Look for the little golden one on the loft's shelf.
Walk everywhere
Gonzaga's campus, Hamilton Street's restaurants and the Centennial Trail along the Spokane River are all an easy walk. Downtown and Riverfront Park are a longer stroll or a quick ride.
